If one were to believe everything they reads or hears about Ethiopia, Madagascar and Tanzania they might be inclined to just stay home and watch TV.

But contrary to popular belief these are wonderful countries to visit. Friendly and exciting and the people are, in a word, great!

We've been running expeditions in East Africa and Madagascar for the better part of 20 years and although there have been many changes through the years, they have become our 'home away from home'. For the most part they are as safe or safer than most large cities in the western world!

For us the key to keep current and know what's really happening 'on the ground' is the fact that we travel and work in these countries every year. When we're not in-country ourselves we're in contact (almost daily) with local staff, family and friends.
